Good News
Destry's terrible baby acne is getting better! There is a reason why I haven't been posting pics this week. I'm not documenting my poor baby's ugly period. :( But this morning it's looking waaaaaaay better--less 15-year-old-boy and more normal-baby-acne. It was seriously way bad, I've never seen it like he had. So soon we'll be back to normal and the camera can come out of hiding once more.

Tub time!!
This isn't his first bath...sadly I was the only one around and I forgot the camera. But we can pretend these are the real deal! Destry really likes the bath tub. At first he got a little mad but that lasted all of three seconds. Thats when he realized that it was nice and warm. He actually fell asleep!

A story and then some news
I usually go to bed before Kolt does and last night was no different. When he came to bed he kissed me good night and went to pull me closer to him (insert "awww"). To this I replied, "Don't! I'm in the middle of feeding [destry]!" Which Kolt then responded, "What??"
At this point in my complete and utter exhaustion I opened my eyes to look down at the baby and discovered that there really was no baby in my arms. Talk about trippy. It was a weird feeling--I would've bet money that I was holding my child.
For all the readers who are freaking out about now wondering where I dropped my baby off in my bed, relax. Turns out Destry was safe in his bassinet right where I left him an hour earlier. I was totally dreaming about feeding my child. We both got a good chuckle out of it, which is pretty hard to do since I was an hour into my sleep cycle when Kolt woke me up. Usually that's when you get angry Laura.
Just goes to show how much I'm feeding this kid.
Another clue to the frequency in the feeding....he weighed in at 9 lbs 6 oz today at the doctors for his two week check up. And is 20 3/4" long. If you're keeping score that's an entire pound gained and two + inches. geeze louise. This kid loves to eat. So he's in the 75% for weight--height and head circumference he's 50%. He's got a normal head size so that's nice. Just a fatty :)

We took over 100 pictures, I think, but we can't post aaallll of them. I gotta keep some mystery because these are going on the birth announcement. But these three were completely beautiful so I couldn't help it.Thanks one more time, Rachel. You are amazing to come and take these pictures. I had lots of fun and I'm glad we only had one potty accident. :)
Soon to be posted....

Finally....

Destry Robert Davies has joined the family! He was right on time---April 3rd. He weighed 8Lbs 6oz at birth and is 18 1/2 inches long. And we LOVE HIM!!!
And I'm glad that my pregnancy is over. The legs seem to be pulling it back together again, although the rest of me now is quite sore....but to be expected and i'm not complaining. Just statin' the facts, jack. :)

Ok, ok...
I dug out the camera today. Rachel was right, I needed a last tummy shot before the end. So here it is. The nine month prego laura pic.
I was left to my own devices. Taking pictures of yourself is no easy task, especially when you can't move very fast and your right leg refuses to work. Really. It quit, I got the letter today: "Dear Laura, this is your right leg. I refuse to work. sorry." But good news, I figured out the timing device and even how to make it take more than one shot at a time so I didn't have to keep getting up and looking at the picture. Now it's time to have a baby.

Here we go again
I thought about taking a photo of the belly but the camera is upstairs, ready to go in my hospital bag. I'm just too lazy to go dig it out. sorry.
But an update:
Had my 40 week check-up today. Things haven't improved much. He said he could "stretch me to a four" ( <---not nice, not at all) but other than that we're just chillin'. The plan at this point is I have an appointment on Tuesday, if I make it that long we'll set up a day later next week to make this thing happen. They only will make me wait a week extra.
So I can safely say that I will have this baby by next weekend. Woo-hoo. We all decided that tomorrow would be better though, as long as its in the afternoon or later because my doctor is in surgery in the morning and my dad is coming home from NM sometime. I told my doctor I would make sure to tell the baby the schedule. We all know how well he listens to that.
I am glad to not have had him today, however. An April Fool's baby would be sad. A curse for the rest of his life. I know we still have 7 hours left but I'm pretty sure it will take longer than that...
knock on wood.
