A Mosaic about Me

So I was surfing through random people's blogs and I ran across a mosaic about another gal. It was pretty cool, so I figured I'd give it a try.

The Concept:
a. Type your answer to each of the questions below into Flickr Search.
b. Using only the first page, pick an image.
c. Copy and paste each of the URLs for the images into fd’s mosaic maker.

The Questions:
1. What is your first name?
2. What is your favorite food?
3. What school did you go to?
4. What is your favorite color?
5. Who is your celebrity crush?
6. Favorite drink?
7. Dream vacation?
8. Favorite dessert?
9. What you want to be when you grow up?
10. What do you love most in life?
11. One word to describe you.
12. Your nickname.

So you should go give it a try because it's pretty fun and there's some pretty neat pics on flikr.com And now you know a little more about me

Our new refrigerator in all it's glory

Ta-daaaa!!
Open, which is a dangerous thing for our fridge. but it was worth it, right? A-mazing. jk

So the reason behind the whole fridge switcher-oo is that our old one was broken when we bought it (we were unaware at the time) and hasn't been fixed for the whole year and a half we've had it. So I was tired of having to unplug it every month so the frost in the back could melt. I sold it. This one came along and not only was it working (they said) it matched the rest of the appliances. Me, thinking ahead, figured that we would have to replace the other fridge before we moved because a) it was broken and no one wants a broken fridge b)it didn't match even a little bit and no one wants a fridge that doesn't match. Why not fix said fridge, you might ask? Well, it was going to cost at least $200, probably more. And we bought the new one for $275 so it was a pretty sweet deal.

Until it didn't work. but then it did, so we're ok again. I guess some refrigerators take up to 48 hrs to adjust to the correct temperature. I just pray we don't have a power-outage because we're going to be up a creek without a paddle. But hey, it matches. so it's allllll goooood. :)

Sorry I've been such a slacker....

Between selling a fridge, buying a fridge, finding out that fridge is not working, trying to get the crazy lady to take it back, figuring out that two days later it decides to work, and being sick I've mostly been doing nothing. :) Life here at the Davies is pretty ho-hum but sometimes thats a good thing.

It's almost our anniversary which would put us at a whopping THREE YEARS! How we doin'?!? But its been fun. Time really does fly but I'm kinda glad---the first year dragged ooonnnn and oonnn. and not in a good way ;D. But we recovered and I'm glad I chose to stick around for a while. (I think Kolt is glad I did too!)

Our goals for this next year? Lets see....

1. Get Kolt through another year of college, hopefully putting him at only ONE YEAR LEFT (give or take a few semesters......) :)
2. Not kill the dog that just decided to pee right next to me as I'm typing this.....grrrrr
3. Baby time!! That's right, folks. You heard me. Get over it. :) jk but a wee-one is definately a goal for this next year.....
4. And this is a little materialistic but I really would like to get new flooring in our house. So it makes the list. Hey, I can dream can't I? Maybe after I kill the dog that likes to pee on carpet....

So not too much in the works for us, but enough if you think about it. We're simple people.

Kobe's New Hair Cut

Kobe went and got himself a hair cut yesterday. The lady at Petsmart said she would love to cut his hair again--apparently Kobe is a sweetie when it comes to the hairdresser ...but I already knew that. Last time, it was his first haircut and he had an absolute blast!! All the new people and new doggies to see. He was in heaven. And I'm happy that I don't have a problem dog.

I'm aaalive!!

So this is a pretty boring post, but we did make it back from Denver alive and well. All in all, the trip went great--family was fun to see, the car ride was not as bad as I anticipated, and we had a good time! We actually never made it into Denver, the family party was in a town right outside the city, but wherever we were was pretty! So if I ever see pictures from the event, because we were too lazy to bring out our camera, I'll post them.

Rocky Mountain High

So the Davies clan is off to the great state of COLORADO for a family reunion/grandma's 80th b-day. And yes, we will be driving the whole way. And the whole trip will only be three days. Should be exciting. I'll let you know if I survive....
