Freaky Babies
So this website makemebabies.com puts together your pictures to see what your babies could look like. I hope this isn't the case, because Kolt JR and Lauretta sure are ugly (well, Kolt Jr isn't so bad)! And Lauretta is apparently black...so I don't know what that means! Anyway, its pretty funny. I highly recommend it.

Litt'l Beauties
Todays project: beautify the dead patch between my doorstep and the next-door-neighbors. It seems that along with several other "oversights" the builders of Country woods did not install a sprinkler to water the patch of dirt between my walk and the neighbors. So, the only thing that continues to grow is an ugly fister bush (which will someday magically disappear during the night--oh ya, it's days are numbered!!) and a whole bunch of bark. So I decided to take matters into my own hands and plant some inexpensive but quite pretty marigolds in pots as kind of an experiment. I'm not sure how hot it gets out there during the day, but I have burned my foot on more than one occasion on the metal door jam. So I'm pretty sure its pretty toasty in the afternoons. But I hope my efforts will not be in vain. My neighbor did say that he liked the flowers so at least they won't try to sabotage the experiment. Now if I can just remember to water them....

Our little addition
Continuing on with my history as a Davies, I came into this marriage with a dog named Rex--he was my dog since high school and was really fun and cute. Then he started pooping. Everywhere. No matter what I did, he still would poop all over my house. So I decided, somewhat irrationally, that he had to go. I found a nice family that wanted a trained dog (I might have failed to mention his pooping problem) and had several children who would love to play with him. So he went away. I was glad at first, but then I started missing my dog. So I talked Kolt into getting a new dog a month later and that's when we found Kobe. We actually were online and the add for him popped up, we called, the lady said first come, first served, we hauled butt to Riverton--I remember passing 100 on the speedometer--and we beat another family by about a minute and a half. It was like those e-bay commercials, "it's better when you win it" because it totally was!! Since then, he's learned several tricks, knows mostly to not poop in the house, and is ultimately the cutest dog ever!!
A little history

So, i figured I could tell you a little history of my little family, meeting, weddings, dogs, etc. Pretty much it all started on, what I though to be, a date gone wrong at Phat Catz. I was there, invited by a person of the opposite gender, and standing in line to pay/get shoes when my supposed date turned to me and asked, "you brought money, didn't you?" A little stunned, I replied in the affirmative and right then and there I was no longer on a date. Good news, the pseudo-date had his buddy Kolt come along--he actually was there at the counter and offered to pay for me. I didn't let him but that started us on the right foot. During the game, Kolt and I talked and joked, and eventually he was the one who took me home that night. I am a little embarrassed to say that I actually kissed him at the door that same night. (which I had I never done previously, and haven't since!) But he thought he was the bomb dot com. After that we had several dates, and two months into our relationship we decided to get married. Planning for a December wedding, we figured out that half of my siblings would not be able to attend, so we moved it up to September. And that was that. Now, time for pics.

in the beginning...
So my buddy at work (that be Stephanie) really wanted me to start a blog. I find she can be pretty persuasive. Here it is, posting numero uno. We'll see what I can scrape up in the way of news. Check back, hopefully there will be something worth reading!
