Of Good report and praiseworthy

Today was an excellent day. Baby Windsor made it's first big sale!! Now Little Things Mean A Lot in American Fork will be selling baby ties. Now the next few days are going to be full of a whole lot of ties to be made. Man, oh man. Not to say that I wasn't expecting this....but I kinda wasn't. At least not so soon! I'm so excited!! Baby Windsor is official!!

Hey All Yooz Slakahs

Just thought I'd point out that I can see who reads my blog and who fails to comment!!! Thaaats right, I'm watching you. So far, Rachel is the only one who gets a christmas present. HA! Now aren't you sad you felt no need to comment.

Ok, I'm feeling better now. You don't have to if you don't want to. I'm only going to cry a little bit.

In other news, today I make a second trip to a local store where I'm hoping to have my ties available. The main lady wasn't in yesterday but the gal I spoke with seemed positive. So we'll see. I'm all ready to go and so is the babe which is pretty good since it's only 9:30. So I'll let you know.

Other plans for my ties include a booth at Melon Days in Green River. I think that will be a good place to do some serious sales. Last year, Kolt's sister Jessi sold super cool b/w photos in frames and she made out like a bandit.

A question for my readers

Suppose Baby Windsor started doing the whole "party" thing. Would people:

a) be willing to show up and buy ties?
b)be willing to host such an event?
c)want to invite everyone they know to such an event?

Just wondering. Please comment if you read this. Even if it's anonymous it would help out a lot.

We're tossing ideas around and this is one of them. Hosting usually gets you some money back, like 40% of the profits or something like that so it wouldn't be a bad deal if people came. And perhaps if you are a hostess you could get a deal on ties too. I'm willing to work with ya!!

Destry's first trip to the zoo

On our way to the zoo, He's pretty much the coolest kid on the block. And you can totally see our reflections in the glasses.

Some of the crew outside the zoo.

This was Destry half-way through the zoo. He made it to the elephants and promptly crashed.

Kolt's brother Clay measuring up to a gorilla. Pretty close....

Jessi measuring up to the female gorilla

Jessi again in the arms of her gorilla lover.

the highlight of the trip: me getting to play with the monkey. He had pulled this big stick a little way through the fence and was trying to eat it. So I grabbed the other end and started messing with him. He figured out that he could sit on the stick while I pushed it up and down and WALAH! a monkey teeter-totter. It was pretty much the coolest thing I've ever got to do. And the zoo-keeper lady across the street wasn't too happy but she never came over. we were just having too much fun.

This was my little monkey friend close up.

Just wanted you all to see

Look how big my baby is getting! He loves to "stand up" which is cute but bad for momma's arms. And just look how adorable he looks in his tie. Sigh. what a cutie!

My adopted baby

I'm proud to say that I'm a new mommma of the cutest baby eggplant ever!! I planted this eggplant this year because, well, I've never planted one before. It's kind of a quandry as to what to do with them but I'm up for the challenge. I'm thinking the classic Eggplant Parmesan is likely, but i'm also going to try it in a zuccinni casserole with chicken. mmmmm. I've heretofore made sort of fried eggplant and that's pretty tastey but not super creative. So I'll keep you posted as my baby grows. Just don't tell him he's on the menu. It might stunt his growth. And If you look closely you'll see more potential eggplants! Woo-woooot!

Destry

Destry discovered his feet last week and ever since has been thouroughly entertained by them. Which is nice since they're attached to him and all.

He also is starting to get bored which is not so nice. There was a baby at church who is a few weeks older than he is and she played with the same toy the entire time. And not just like holding it--She was all out going nuts shaking and kicking and waving her arms. Like it was the greatest thing she's ever done. Not Destry! He needs a new toy every five minutes and after we go through them all he's still looking to be entertained. Crazy kid. I dare say he may be a bit active when he gets older. O well. He'll keep me in shape.

Lastly, these shoes are from his auntie carrie and they finally fit! I've been waiting since we got them and now i'm super excited to put them on him. They're just so soft and fun
