Look who's turning one!

we did a quick one-year-old photo shoot this morning...

We want our baby back

Remember those commercials? I want my baby back, baby back, baby back....hahaha  but not what I'm talking about...

I want my baby back...

You know, the one that giggles and crawls and chatters? The one with the cutest smile and the twinkly eyes? The one that usually looks like this:
He's been sick since last Tuesday...something called an enterovirus according to the dr. Pretty much a stomach bug on steroids. Saddest thing ever.

Oh and now his brother has it. double yuck. (although he doesn't want to eat so we haven't had any...uh...explosions. so far.)  You know how he got it? He was doing just fine until I caught him sneaking swigs of Gray's pedialite. Fast forward 24 hours..."mooooooom, my tummy hurts." ugh. So it goes with children and sickness. (and three-year-old sneakiness)

We'll be holed up for the remainder of the week (which is super fun since you'll see today is sunday.) Its going to be a long one. And we've already burned through the DVR's Bob the Builder selection...

Lets ease back into this...

among other things I've been attempting lately (ie moving, impromptu vacations/funerals, sick babies, broken dryer--which is LOADS of fun when that sick baby is puking for two days--yes, pun intended) I'm trying to implement things that help my demeanor. This includes taking a daily vitamin, running, and napping whenever possible. So my usual allotted "blogging time" has sort of been pushed to the bottom of the list. Sorry. But today I'm holding a sick baby in one arm and typing with the other so yay! Its slow going but we'll call it an exercise in patience.

so as his eyes start to glaze over I'll get to the good stuff.

Before the move we took a ride on the most.boring.train.ever. it would've been all right had it not also had been the hottest.train.ever.  but it made for some fun pics!

Blogging from my phone

Yes friends, it's just too dang hard to schedule in real blogging time these days. Even now it took me three times longer to type that because the baby needed me. So we're doing this iPhone style!

Let's take a tour of our new crib. Straight up no straightening involved. This is pure blogging people. I'm throwing off the mask. (that and I'm not even close to being done with the decorating and what have you. When I get my act together we'll do a better job at looking successful. )
